Seesaw is a dynamic educational platform designed for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 (K–12). Focused on fostering interaction between teachers, students, and families, Seesaw leverages a wide range of multimedia tools—videos, drawings, photos, audio, and more—to make learning a deeply engaging and collaborative experience. A unique aspect of the platform is its emphasis on family involvement, keeping guardians connected and actively engaged in the educational journey of their children.

PSh’s Role: Fullstack Development for Scale and Support
PSh joined Seesaw as a dedicated development partner, embedding a team of fullstack developers (React + Python) into their engineering workflow. Our focus was on improving the rostering experience, a critical part of onboarding and managing large volumes of users—especially during high-demand periods like Back to School.

In addition to enhancing the mobile app version and implementing internationalization, we also dedicated resources to ensure quality through our team of four QA specialists (three focusing on functional testing and one on automation). This comprehensive approach allowed us to address diverse user needs and maintain high standards of performance and reliability

Our contributions included:

New Features for School & District Admin Panels – We developed and enhanced key administrative features, empowering internal and external teams to manage platform access, solve user issues, and operate on behalf of schools or districts.

Support Tools for Internal Teams – Built tools that streamline workflows for Seesaw’s internal support staff, enabling faster and more effective user assistance.

LMS Integration with Schoology and D2L – We implemented a full integration with the Schoology LMS, significantly expanding Seesaw’s interoperability and offering users a more connected, flexible educational ecosystem. Additionally, we established integration with D2L, further enhancing the platform's capabilities and ensuring that users can seamlessly navigate between different learning management systems.

Our work helped strengthen Seesaw’s infrastructure and administrative capabilities, ensuring the platform could scale to meet the demands of schools and districts during peak usage. By contributing both front-end and back-end expertise, we helped deliver robust, user-centered solutions that enhance the platform’s usability and reach.
